Key points

From 2022–2023, the largest absolute decrease in the rate of reported cases of acute hepatitis C was observed in Maine (decrease of 2.0 cases per 100,000 population) and the largest absolute increase was observed in Tennessee (increase of 2.2 cases per 100,000 population).
