Key points

From 2022–2023, the largest absolute decrease in the rate of reported cases of acute hepatitis B was observed in West Virginia (decrease of 1.0 case per 100,000 population) and the largest absolute increase was observed in Vermont (increase of 0.7 cases per 100,000 population).
