Among persons aged 18–40 years, rates of reported cases of acute hepatitis B were highest among non-Hispanic Black persons and in US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Region 4; rates by sex were similar. The highest rates of reported cases of acute hepatitis C were among males, non-Hispanic American Indian/Alaska Native persons, and in Region 4.
